The city before there was Gothenburg
A 16th century town in what today is Gothenburg was excavated and studied between 2013 and 2018.
Among the finds where a everything you’ll find in a town: roads, a church, houses, ceramics, animals, pipes and people. The Archaeo Agency was there for a year 2017 and made 14 short movies and a Christmas calendar for their YouTube-channel. Above is an example of Leif Johnson, osteologist with Bohusläns Museum, sharing his story about a dog being buried 500 years ago.
